CVUSD Ignoring Parents & Teachers

Local parents, current & retired teachers, and children are now at war with the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD). Regardless of how many times the community speaks up to air their grievances about the policies, the CVUSD distributes claims that the parents are proliferating misinformation.

The school board is misleading and lying through the mouthpiece of Superintendent Mark McLaughlin and have created a very divisive environment for parents, their children in schools, and many teachers, who are concerned but afraid to speak out in public for fear of cancellation, which the CVUSD has done in the past and why Conejo Alert was created (www.conejoalert.com)

Through a recent FOIA request, documentation has been retrieved and confirms the lack of respect for parent involvement and that the board will continue to mandate the school policies. This is unacceptable leadership and we anticipate all five members step down in the near future since enrollment and grade scores in a deep decline.

COME SUPPORT PARENTS AT SCHOOL MEETING

We need our families and friends who share the same belief that parents must be involved with what’s being taught, and that schools should teach how kids think, not what they think, to show up and be let their voices be heard.

When? Meeting: TUESDAY, OCT 11 at 6 PM

Where? 1402 E. Janns Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362

**If you get there by 6 PM you can put your name in to speak to the board members as part of the meeting, or just show up in support of others who will.

**Please do not bring signs as they just block the view. This meeting is about sharing our concerns to the school board members and the public listening.

THANK YOU FOR NOT BEING THE SILENT MAJORITY. THE MORE THAT SPEAK UP THE MORE CHANGE WE CAN INFLUENCE. SHARE THIS EMAIL WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
